Hats off to those Yorkshire businesses who are leading the way out of the double dip recession. We’re celebrating the news that our companies are outperforming almost all other regions in the UK in terms of business growth.
A report published by Deloitte has highlighted that Yorkshire companies such as Thornton & Ross and Heron Food Group came out on top in terms of growth out of 1000 companies studied across the UK. The only other region that saw higher growth nationally was London; a huge achievement for the Yorkshire region. The study focused on companies with revenue between £30m and £1billion, which have collectively generated 55 per cent growth in revenue from 2008 to 2011. (more…)
