 Evan Whitton brought the Paralympic Flame to York

As we look forward to the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games 2012 this evening, we’re also celebrating the Paralympic Flames after they visited 5 major cities in Yorkshire.

Evan Whitton, an 8 year old from Silsden who has Cerebral Palsy, had been unable to walk until he was inspired by the Paralympics and underwent an operation last year enabling him to walk for the first time using crutches.  Evan travelled to London to collect the Paralympic Flame in Trafalgar Square and carried it back to Yorkshire via train. Here at Quest PR we’ve caught Olympic fever – and the storming successes of our home county have us cheering very loudly.
